Solutions & Technology
What is Predictive Health Monitoring (PHM)?
How does Odysight.ai’s solution differ from conventional maintenance systems?
What is Odysight.ai TruVision®?
Odysight.ai TruVision® is Odysight.ai’s aerospace-dedicated PHM solution, built around an advanced AI and algorithmic engine designed specifically for aviation and defense platforms. While it includes ruggedized visual sensing hardware, Odysight.ai TruVision® is fundamentally a software-centric system, combining:
- Real-time AI diagnostics
- Anomaly and trend detection models
- Domain-specific PHM algorithms
- Fleet-wide analytics delivered via secure dashboards
This architecture enables continuous monitoring of safety-critical components and supports aviation-grade performance, availability, and certification requirements.
Does Odysight.ai offer different solutions for aerospace and industrial environments?
Yes. We provide sector-specific solutions built on the same core visual intelligence architecture:
- Odysight.ai TruVision® is our aerospace-focused PHM solution, designed for the unique operational, regulatory, and safety demands of aviation and defense platforms.
- Our industrial visual PHM platform, AdvanSight™, is tailored for transportation and manufacturing environments, where deployment, data flows, and maintenance cycles differ from aerospace requirements.
Both solutions share the same underlying AI and sensing framework, but each is refined for the operational conditions, regulations, and integration needs of its respective sector.
How does Odysight. ai’s solution handle data processing and communication?
Our TruVision® solution uses hybrid edge-cloud architecture. Raw video streams are processed locally by the onboard unit, where AI models detect anomalies in real time. Processed insights, diagnostic snapshots, and health scores are then transmitted to cloud dashboards, enabling fleet managers to track multiple assets and conduct trend analysis across large datasets.
What is unique about Odysight.ai’s visual PHM platform?
Our visual PHM platform delivers continuous, high-resolution health monitoring of critical mechanical systems using visual sensing combined with edge AI and analytics. Unlike traditional sensor-based approaches, it observes physical conditions directly in hard-to-reach or safety-critical areas, enabling earlier detection of degradation and clearer diagnostic insight. The platform’s modular architecture allows the same core technology to be applied across multiple industries, while adapting to each environment’s operational requirements and workflows.
AI & Data Processing & Security
How does the AI work in practice?
Our proprietary AI algorithms relentlessly analyze visual data streams 24/7, using educated models and the specific platform’s operational history to detect cracks, leaks, surface wear, movement anomalies, and other fault precursors. Alerts can also be streamed directly to operators such as pilots or drivers, enabling immediate situational awareness.
Does your system solution require constant cloud connectivity?
No. The edge processing unit performs real-time fault detection and continues operating even in low-connectivity environments. When cloud connectivity is available, data synchronizes, dashboards update, and AI models can be fine-tuned.
Does the AI replace human technicians?
No. Our system augments technician workflows by providing early visual insights, prioritization, and decision support. All findings require human review and final confirmation. This approach shortens maintenance cycles, reduces human error, and enables technicians to focus on critical areas at the optimal time, maximizing operational availability while keeping humans fully in the loop.
Do you provide training or support for our maintenance technicians?
We provide structured onboarding and initial training to support system deployment and effective use. The platform itself is designed to be intuitive and to empower technicians through access to real-time and historical visual data, which can be used as part of internal training and operational processes. In addition, the system supports visual remote access and collaboration capabilities that may be used, when required, to assist troubleshooting and knowledge transfer—without replacing local expertise or day-to-day operational responsibility.
Integration & System Compatibility
Can Odysight.ai integrate with legacy systems and mission platforms?
Yes. Our solution is built on a modular open system architecture designed to complement and integrate with existing HUMS, ERP, MRO, and fleet management systems through standard or custom integrations. This ensures our technology fits seamlessly into your established maintenance infrastructure without requiring a total system overhaul.
Can Odysight.ai combine its visual data with other system data?
Yes. We fully support data fusion from external sensors, OEM systems, and operational databases. This flexibility allows our solution to stream real-time failure/anomaly alerts and high-resolution visual data directly into your current management tools, creating a holistic and seamless health-monitoring environment for actionable predictive insights.
Benefits & Results
What benefits can customers expect?
Customers typically experience substantial reductions in unplanned downtime, improved fleet readiness, better safety compliance, and reduced manual inspection costs.
How quickly can ROI be achieved?
Many operators report measurable benefits within 6–12 months, including reduced emergency repairs and improved component lifespan.
What reduction can be expected in maintenance costs and labor requirements?
Customers often achieve substantial reductions in maintenance costs and inspection labor. Automated AI-driven monitoring reduces unnecessary interventions, optimizes parts usage, and allows technicians to focus on higher-value tasks.
Business Model & Deployment Options
What business model options does Odysight.ai offer?
Odysight.ai offers a wide range of commercial models and solution packages. Engagements typically include a combination of hardware components (processing units and sensors), software and AI analytics licenses, and optional cloud-based services such as dashboards and analytics. Depending on customer needs, programs may also include a managed service framework that bundles system access, software updates, and ongoing support. The exact configuration is defined per customer and program, ensuring alignment with their operational, technical, and procurement requirements.
Can customers start small and expand later?
Yes. Many customers begin with a limited or pilot program with gradual, increasing functionality or single-platform installation. Once validated, the system can be expanded to additional platforms or fleets with minimal reconfiguration.
Is the solution modular? Can customers adopt only parts of it?
Yes. Customers can select sensors-only, software-only, or mixed configurations. Minor customization may be required, and all configurations are fully supported.
Real-World Applications
Can you provide a real-world example of how TruVision® prevents catastrophic failures?
A primary example is our work with the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. After an incident caused by a hidden safety nut coming undone, we developed a specialized solution using vision-based sensors and trained AI algorithms to monitor the size and number of threads in critical bolts in real-time. The system automatically warns of “out-of-sync” events, preventing push-pool rod detachment and ensuring safety for both the pilots and the platform.
Has Odysight.ai technology been tested in extreme or non-aviation environments?
Yes. Odysight.ai’s technology is space-proven, having been utilized by NASA during the Robotic Refueling Mission 3 (RRM3) in outer space. The technology has also supported high-speed aeronautical flight testing across multiple aerospace platforms, including rotary-wing aircraft such as the AH-64 and SH-60, as well as several unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. Beyond aviation, Odysight.ai has collaborated with railway operators to deploy AI-powered visual monitoring of critical track switches, enabling early anomaly detection and enhanced operational safety.
